Anjou Vintage Bike 2025

From June 27 to 29, 2025, the town of Saumur will host a new edition of Anjou Vélo Vintage, a now-iconic event for lovers of vintage bicycles. This festive gathering, at the crossroads of tourism, culture, and heritage, draws thousands of enthusiasts from across France each year. And this year again, the atmosphere promises to be unforgettable.

With routes ranging from 30 to 105 km, Anjou Vélo Vintage offers a unique experience for all types of cyclists. Winding through country roads, vineyards, and charming villages, each ride offers a fresh immersion into the iconic landscapes of the Loire Valley.

It’s a different way to discover Anjou: cycling to the rhythm of another era, surrounded by vintage posters, classic frame plates, and gourmet stops in picturesque villages. The setting lives up to the event—authentic, welcoming, and delightfully retro.

A vibrant edition full of suprises

Each route comes with its own evocative name: Les Sœurs Klaxon, Les Frères Duchemin, Léon & Louison Leguidon, and for the most daring, Authentic 1868. Every ride is designed as a festive adventure, complete with refreshment stops, tastings, and on-the-road entertainment.

The 2025 edition is also a collector’s one: participants will receive a retro water bottle, a numbered frame plate, a souvenir shoulder bag, and even a tasting glass. All of this in a friendly, musical atmosphere filled with brass bands and vintage outfits.

Throughout the weekend, downtown Saumur turns into a buzzing hub of joy. The vintage village features a pop-up shop, a retro flea market, poster exhibitions, and lively swing concerts. There are even weekend stays to win, games and workshops to enjoy, and sometimes a visit from the mayor—all adding to the charm of this one-of-a-kind festival.

It’s the perfect opportunity to stroll between the stands, grab a souvenir, or simply soak up the atmosphere. Between two glasses of crémant, people chat, dance, and share stories. The whole town celebrates the return of vintage cycling in true Anjou style.

The ticket office is open! Registration includes rides, meals, goodies, and insurance. Be sure to book your tickets early—some routes fill up fast.
