About us

In the heart of the Saumur vineyard, between the Loire River and the rolling hillsides, our project was born from a genuine love for wine, local heritage, and human connection. At Saumur Signature, we don’t just offer places to stay — we open the doors to a region that is rich, vibrant, and passionate, shaped by people, winemaking, and history.

A story of deep-rooted attachment

Our roots run deep in the soil of Saumur, among troglodyte cellars, vineyard slopes, and winegrowing villages. As we explored the Loire wine routes, spoke with passionate winemakers, and rediscovered the wine cellars of the Loire Valley, the idea of Saumur Signature became a natural extension of our journey. Heirs to a culture where hospitality comes naturally, we wanted to create a collection of unique accommodations that reflect the region : elegant, welcoming, and authentic.

A tribute to the winemakers of Saumur

Through our stays, we pay homage to the local wine estates — to the finesse of Saumur-Champigny, the delicate notes of Cabernet Franc, and the sparkling wines from iconic cellars like Ackerman, Langlois-Château, and Bouvet-Ladubay. Each property highlights a facet of Saumur’s wine heritage. In one, a mural honors the harvests of the past; in another, a vaulted cellar welcomes your private tastings.

The Saumur vineyard — a true pillar of winemaking in Anjou — lies at the heart of the experience. Our guests can book tours of local estates and wine cellars, enjoy tastings of regional grape varieties, cycle along the Loire à Vélo route, or experience timeless moments in an underground cave.

Attention to detail

Firmly rooted in French history, Saumur is a town full of character, blending heritage and wine culture. Its castle towers above the Loire, overlooking terraced vineyards. Its cobbled streets echo the legacy of cavalry schools, renowned wine houses, and the brotherhoods of Crémant de Loire.

This is the richness we want to share: a discovery of Saumur’s vineyards at their most noble and welcoming. Here, grape varieties tell stories just as old as the stones. The hills of Saumur are a living theatre of craftsmanship, tradition, and a deep connection to the land.

A stay in the heart of the vineyard

Each Saumur Signature apartment is designed as an invitation to explore. The décor is inspired by local heritage: reimagined barrels, vintage items sourced from winemakers, and color palettes evoking the harvest season. Welcome products are carefully selected from local artisans, and sometimes even from our partner wineries. Enjoy a glass of Saumur wine — a Chenin Blanc specialty — or book a guided tour of the nearby cellars.
